An original Nike home football shirt for the Portuguese national team from the 2014/16 season, worn during the 2014 World Cup.

Home model Portuguese national team over the years 2014/16produced by Nike size M, dates from the period when the team played at The 2014 World Cup in Brazil. This design is firmly rooted in Portugal’s traditional red colour scheme, but enhanced with more modern, graphic elements characteristic of Nike from the middle of the previous decade.

The T-shirt was manufactured on red base, covered with irregular horizontal stripes in a darker burgundy shade. The pattern gradually becomes denser towards the bottom of the shirt, where it transitions into a more uniform, solid colour block. This allows the design to retain the national team’s classic colours whilst standing out with an interesting and dynamic finish.

The whole thing has a distinctly competitive feel to it and fits in well with the style of national team projects Nike from that period. The subtle transitions between red and burgundy mean that, up close, the T-shirt looks far more striking than the simple colour scheme would suggest.

The model was used by Portugal at the 2014 World Cup, whose squad at the time included, amongst others, Cristiano Ronaldo, Pepe, João Moutinho or Nani. Although the tournament itself did not end in sporting success for the team, the shirt remains strongly associated with the Portuguese national team of the mid-2010s.

This is an offer for collectors and fans looking for an original Portugal home shirt from the 2014/16 season, produced by Nike, with its characteristic red base, irregular with burgundy horizontal stripes and a direct link to The 2014 World Cup.
