AJ Auxerre 2000/01 Away 2 Klos football shirt [XL]

An original AJ Auxerre away football shirt from the 2000/01 season, manufactured by Uhlsport. 

Away model AJ Auxerre z 2000/01 seasonproduced by Uhlsport in size XL, it is an extremely interesting collector’s item linked to his performances Tomasz Kłos in France. This shirt is the away counterpart to the home kit used this season – the design retains the same layout, but with an inverted colour scheme, in which blue and white have been swapped. All the evidence suggests that this design was ultimately not used as the official away shirt and most likely only appeared during one of the pre-season friendlies, partly because the player left the club during the summer transfer window at the start of this season.

The T-shirt is blue with white stripes on the sleeves and shoulders, and a white polo collar. The distinctive sponsor’s logo takes centre stage on the front. PlayStation, closely associated with AJ Auxerre from the early 21st century. The whole design has been kept in the classic style characteristic of projects Uhlsport. 

There is an original print on the back. Tomasz Kłos, one of the best Polish centre-backs of his generation. The Poland international played for AJ Auxerre between 1998 and 2000, whilst competing in Ligue 1 and in European cup competitions. The item on offer was personally presented many years ago by Tomasz Kłos the person from whom it was bought, along with other match shirts worn by Polish footballers playing in France, which gives it a unique history.
