Admit it, who has spoiled at least one t-shirt by washing it in the washing machine? Let me say it straight away, me. Up until now, I've had a great talent for devastating my shirts by not washing them properly. However, for some time now I have almost reached perfection in this craft, which I would like to share with you in the following tutorial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I won't discover America with this instruction, but citing my experience and observations, I know I'm not the only person who has had this problem, so I hope it will help at least some of you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Obviously the safest way to wash football shirts is by hand, so if you have the opportunity to do so, do so, but in today's fast-paced world, not everyone has the time or inclination to wash their leotards in the bath or sink, or at least I do when I wash dozens of football outfits every week.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

WE WILL:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Turn the shirts inside out<\/strong>: The T-shirt(s) are turned inside out to minimise the risk of damage to the prints. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pour laundry liquids<\/strong>: Pour a token amount of washing liquid into the containers, and even less fabric softener if you want your clothes to smell nice. I will tell you straight away that the latter carries the risk of damaging the T-shirt, so if you don't feel the need to use it, don't use it; my T-shirts, however, based on several months of observation, have been fine. You can find sportswear washing liquids in popular discount stores, but I honestly didn't notice their magic effect, so I stayed with the regular one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Washing mode selection<\/strong>: In the washing machine we select the hand wash mode, that is 20 degrees and 400 rpm. Although the washing labels usually say to wash at 30 or 40 degrees, do not be taken in by this. This applies to the polyester material itself, which will not be damaged at this temperature or at multiple speeds, but on most T-shirts there is ironed or glued-on printing, be it of the sponsor or the name and numbers, and these are susceptible to damage, generally irreversible. If your washing machine doesn't have this option, I recommend washing by hand in a bathtub or bowl, unless you like to take risks, then it can be 30 degrees, but at least set a low speed\ud83d\ude09.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

T-shirt drying<\/strong>: Take the t-shirts out and hang them out to dry, preferably on hangers so that the prints do not come into contact with the metal parts of the dryers. Also remember not to put the t-shirts on dryers with heated rungs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Note<\/strong>: Do not put shirts in the washing machine drum together with clothes that have metal parts such as zips or buttons.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    That would be it! As you can see - it's trivial, but I don't think everyone realises how it should be done. Remember that random situations happen that are out of our control, so I can't guarantee on 100% that washing t-shirts this way will never damage them, but I've been using it for a few months now and so far it hasn't let me down.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
