On the fields ran such footballers as Zidane, Ronaldo, and Diego Maradona was coming to the end of his career. Serie A was on the up and Manchester United under Sir Alex Ferguson, with David Beckham in the line-up, began to flourish.

The 1990s. were also, in the opinion of many, a golden period for football shirts. Brands such as Umbro and Kappa were in vogue, while Nike was just starting out in the football industry, gaining recognition from clubs such as Borussia Dortmund and PSG, who decided to partner with the American giant. The jerseys were large and sack-sized, allowing the designers to let their imagination run wild, and to this day the leotards from that era are still held in high regard due to their often unique designs.

In addition to the field players, the field also features goalkeepersAnd here, in terms of design, there were sometimes no limits, and the designs of the goalkeepers' outfits were sometimes works of art or... well, you can judge for yourself, and we will focus on them in today's article, presenting you our subjective top 10 in the category of... well? We don't know ourselves, the longer we look at these jerseys the more we don't know if we like them or not, so let's establish that this is a ranking of the leotards most interesting.

#10 Manchester United 1995/96

We'll start with the Isles and the club that was then beginning to rule and divide in both the domestic and European backyard.
